Rating: PG - 13 Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars Best for Ages: 17+ Ages 3 - 7: Red Ages 8 - 12: Red Ages 13 - 17: Red Violence Amount: Yellow Violence Portrayal: Yellow Fear: Yellow Illegal / Harmful: Yellow Language: Yellow Nudity: Yellow Sex: Yellow Review: This movie could easily been rated R. In
1692, 5 families decided to keep their powers secret to avoid trouble
with the other citizens of Ipswich. 4 of the families still exist and
they are best friends. The 5th family is supposed to have died out. The
boys go to a private high school and meet a new student. He seems
normal, at first, but they soon learn that he is from the 5th family
and he wants to destroy them. There are several intense sequences of
violence and action. Teen-agers are killed. There are disturbing images
of the boy’s powers and how they use them. There is sexual content and
partial nudity (they blow up the skirt of a waitress and she is wearing
no underwear). There is also language. The teens drink at a bar and
they look way too old to be in high school. I would not recommend this
movie to anyone under the age of 17. No morals are learned and no
lessons are learned.
