Review:
Pierce Brosnan plays a master jewel thief who has retired with his lover, Salma Hayek, to an island paradise. Unfortunately, he is followed by an FBI agent (Woody Harrelson) that he has made a fool of several times during his previous heists. A huge diamond is coming into port in a few days and the agent is sure that Brosnan is planning on stealing it. He follows him around and they begin to become friends. They get into some funny situations together. Salma does not believe that her lover is really retired. He has no hobbies and he is bored. Together, they work on their problems until she realizes that he is going to steal the diamond. Things begin to fall apart and the plot takes some twists and turns that you will not see coming. There is violence, sexuality, and language. This is more of an adult film than one for 13 year olds. Salma Hayek is always dressed very provocatively and the couple share a very active sex life even though they are not married. They live together and engage in criminal activities. There is also drinking and smoking. Why does the jewel thief have with commitment? What is he looking for in life?
