Rating: PG -13 Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars Best for Ages: 16+ Ages 3 - 7: Red Ages 8 - 12: Red Ages 13 - 17:Yellow Violence Amount: Green Violence Portrayal: Green Fear: Green Illegal / Harmful: Green Language: Yellow Nudity: Yellow Sex: Yellow Review: Two strangers, Oliver (Ashton Kutcher) and Emily (Amanda Peet), meet, but do not exchange names, on a flight from Los Angeles to New York as Emily introduces Oliver to the "mile high club." Over a period of 7 years the two meet several times. Each time, one of them is ready to get involved but the other is not free. The movie is mildly amusing at times but it cannot overcome its basic flaws: two strangers engage in sex on an airplane, the characters drink to relieve stress, there is smoking and the female character feels the need to have a boyfriend to be complete. There is sexual content, nudity and language. This is not a movie for young teen-agers. "When Harry Met Sally", with Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan, was released the characters became friends before they got involved with each other. It was a much kinder, more compassionate and funnier film. Email Linda Back to Home Copyright © 2005 Linda Thomas |
