(Danny DeVito) are neighbors. Buddy has just moved into the
neighborhood and he is not making a good impression on Steve. Buddy is
a free-spirited person that wants his house to be seen from outer space
by a satellite. He decorates his house and property to the nth degree.
Steve is a very organized and tasteful Christmas decorator. He is also
known as the “Christmas Guy” in his town, until Buddy takes over his
title. This movie has a few funny moments but it is not a family movie.
There is crude and suggestive humor and some language. A policeman
wears women’s underwear, there is talk of a meth lab and some drinking,
and one wife mentions the pole that they have in their bedroom. The
fathers ogle some dancers at a town Christmas party only to find out
that the girls are their daughters. The movie is very crass and
commercial and it has nothing to do with the true meaning of Christmas.
What in their past makes the men behave this way about Christmas?
