Rating: PG Overall rating: 1 out of 5 stars Best for Ages: 13+ Ages 3 - 7: Red Ages 8 - 12: Yellow Ages 13 - 17: Green Violence Amount: Green Violence Portrayal: Green Fear: Green Illegal / Harmful: Green Language: Yellow Nudity: Green Sex: Yellow Review: Four best friends start high school
together vowing to stay close always. Each girl has a different talent
and they all end up in different cliques. Fast-forward 2 years. The
girls barely acknowledge each other anymore. The ideas behind the movie
are that we must stay true to ourselves and interact with everyone. The
girls are diverse in ethnicity and financial status but all four are
slender, pretty, have straight teeth, wear false eyelashes and wear a
lot of make-up for 16 year olds. I thought “Mean Girls” handled a
similar issue in a better way. I think that the Bratz are way too
mature for six to ten year olds. They also do not represent realistic
role models for young girls. I found the movie shallow and boring.
