Rating: PG-13. This movie could have been rated R. Overall rating: 2 out of 5 stars Best for Ages: 17+ Ages 3 - 7: Red Ages 8 - 12: Red Ages 13 - 17: Yellow Violence Amount: Yellow Violence Portrayal:Yellow Fear: Green Illegal / Harmful: Yellow Language: Yellow Nudity: Yellow Sex: Yellow Review: Will Farrell and Jon Heder play two
world champion figure skaters. They tie for first place at a
competition and end up fighting on the podium. They are banned from
competition for life. They both go on to lead boring lives for a few
years until their old coach finds a loophole in the rules. They are not
banned from doubles skating. He (Craig T. Nelson) brings the skaters
together and tells them his idea. Farrell’s character is a Chippendale
dancer type of skater. Heder’s skating is more like hearts and flowers
along with unicorns. They are totally different in skating and
personality. There is a lot of crude and sexual humor for a PG-13
movie. Farrell’s character is a sex addict and attends meetings for
this. There are a lot of crotch shots. There is also some comic
violence, such as a decapitation played for laughs. A character drinks
to excess and makes a drug reference. I would not recommend this movie
to teen-agers under the age of 17.
