Review:
This animated movie
stars the voices of Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger, Chris Rock, John
Goodman and Oprah. Barry Benson is a bee that wants to leave the hive
and see the world. When he graduates from Bee College, he learns that
he must pick a job in the hive and work for the rest of his life. He
wants to make his own choices. He leaves the hive and after almost
getting killed, he talks to the human that saved him. They become
friends. One day, they go to the grocery store and Barry sees hundreds
of jars of honey being sold for humans. He is very upset and decides to
sue the human race for stealing honey. The movie is well animated but
the dialogue is not consistently funny enough. The main voices of
Seinfeld and Zellweger are well done but the characters do not capture
our emotions. The plot and fast paced dialogue could be hard to follow
for very young children. I would recommend this movie to children 6 and
older. What does Barry learn about making his own choices and working
with a group?
